Redwood Deck and Pergola — Faial

Construction of an outdoor deck and pergola. The supporting structure was built in treated pine, set on concrete slabs laid over a carefully levelled fine gravel bed, with a 2% slope for natural water drainage.

The deck surface was finished with smooth redwood boards, all screws countersunk and covered with wooden plugs — keeping the surface clean, with no visible metal fixings. The pergola, also in redwood, follows the same constructive language. Finished with a conservation oil for natural protection and enhancement of the timber.
